Mr. Peter Coleman has 30 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry, and has been Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Woodside since joining the company in May 2011.

Born in Sale, Victoria, Mr. Coleman graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Monash University in 1983 and has a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University.

Mr. Coleman began his career with Exxon Mobil following graduation from Monash University and has stayed with the company until joining Woodside.

Mr. Coleman is a member of the University of Western Australia Business School Board, the Executive Committee of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Council and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He is also a Commissioner of the West Australian Football Commission.

Mr. Coleman was awarded the honorary title of Adjunct Professor in Corporate Strategy from the University of Western Australia, an Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award from Monash University and a Fellowship from the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
