Prof. Kenneth Richards

Visiting Professor, NUS Business School

Prof. Kenneth Richards is a Professor of Environmental and Energy Policy at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (Indiana University) and Affiliated Professor of Energy and Environmental Law at the Maurer School of Law (Indiana University). He recently concluded an appointment as Musim Mas Professor of Sustainability at the NUS Business School. His previous positions include Senior Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Martin School (Oxford University) and Associate Director of the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy. He has taught a broad range of courses, including sustainable business management, public law and administration, environmental and cost-benefit economics, energy and climate change law, and applied math. His research focuses on corporate sustainability indexing, environmental policy implementation (including offset design and third party certification), and climate change policy (including international forest carbon sequestration, geological carbon capture and storage, and legislative design).

Prof. Richards holds a PhD in Public Policy from the Wharton School and a JD from the Law School, University of Pennsylvania; a MSCE and a BSCE from Northwestern University; and a BA in botany and chemistry from Duke University.
