John Macomber is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Harvard Business School. His research and courses focus on sustainable urbanisation and the private finance and delivery of public infrastructure. He also teaches courses in energy innovation and in Real Estate investing and development. Working with a global view, Professor Macomber’s writings have ranged from water to power to transit as well as property, and have included situations in India, Mexico, Peru, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and the USA. Prior to joining the Harvard Business School faculty, Professor Macomber’s professional background was in real estate and construction. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
