Overview

Ecosperity is a series of sustainability-focused conferences presented by Singapore-based investment company Temasek in Singapore.

The conference brings together CEOs, innovators, policy makers and thought leaders from around the world to explore the latest issues on sustainable growth. The name “Ecosperity” twins ecology with prosperity – recognising that growth can and should take place in a sustainable manner.

With the global demographic continuing its transition to more of a city-dwelling, middle income population, the focus on material prosperity has developed further, to a desire for social well-being. There is also a greater awareness of individual accountability in sustaining the environment in which populations live.

Individuals are striving for longer and better quality lives. The success of this quest depends on technological innovation, while also aspiring to a harmonious co-existence with other ecosystems. With access to such knowledge, populations are increasingly changing their lifestyles and environment in more personal ways with higher expectations around results of those changes.

As such, the 3rd Ecosperity conference theme “Sustainable Living – Sustaining Lives” will explore the fascinating possibilities and boundaries of scientific discovery, technological innovation and discuss the key success factors for the pursuit of better living for growing populations and in harmony with other natural systems.
